I bought an I POD Touch and expected it to work everyhere but the computer shop said it can only

be connected to my husbands broadband hub at plusnet. Is this the case? can i connect to a wifi hub that will allow me to use it when on holiday?

The device itself will work anywhere, but it will only be able to use Internet based services when it is in range of a Wi-Fi access point that you have permission to use. Many shops & hotels provide free access from their premises, or make a nominal charge. If you really need access while out and about you could purchase a Mi-Fi device, which is a mobile Wi-Fi access point that connects to the 3G data networks used by mobile phones.
