Hi everyone,

I just got from Individual apple developer program migrated to my company account. I am putting my experience here in case its helpful for others.

  • I open a support ticket 3 days ago, requesting the migration of my individual account to my company name.
  • Next day I got the response from support asking to make sure I meet all the requirement for a company developer account registration. like I have a DUNS number etc. which I already had.
  • I replied the email that I meet all the mentioned requirements, so they sent me an email with a link to start the migration progress same day. I provided the needed information and submitted.
  • Now in my develop account (member center) I see the process at step 2. Indentity verification.
  • After 2 days the Indentity verification showed that "we are contacting the reference you have provided". In my case I was the reference.
  • Next day I called myself at one of the support phone numbers (https://developer.apple.com/contact/phone.php ) and the lady asked a couple of questions and sent me an email to complete the process.

They didn't ask for any documents and I didn't have to pay again as I just migration my individual account to company.

So to sum it up, I think it better to call the support if you don't here from them in 2, 3 days.

Hope that helps

Good Luck

I have finally been able to activate my Apple developer company account. I am posting all dates. Hope it could benifit other's who are waiting.

12th June 2013 - Applied for enrollment into IOS Developer Program - Company

19th June 2013 - Status changed to "contacting the reference"

24th June 2013 - I called up the Apple developer support (UK) and the lady told me they have sent a mail asking me to contact them. I never got that mail (I would suggest that you call up the support if you have been waiting for a while). They never asked me to fax any documents and she sent me a contract in mail.

Everything was smooth and quick from this point onwards. I accepted the contract and paid for the membership. There was no waiting time anywhere and I was able to access my developer account and resources.

We are contacting the reference you provided to verify that you have the authority to act on behalf of your company/organization and to enter your company/organization into legal agreements.

I am yet to receive any communication from Apple 😐

Did you try contacting whomever in your company has to approve the enrollment? When applying for a company account, Apple cannot/willnot proceed further until they receive proper legal authority from someone in your company with the legal authority to approve the membership. You will not hear from Apple until Apple hears back from your company's officer.

But, according to the enterprise program FAQ, enterprise members cannot distribute their apps in the app store. The enterprise program is for companies developing apps for in house distribution only.

So are you sure you do not want the standard program, which does include the ability to distribute apps via the Apple app store?

So even if enrolling as a company, not an individual, if you want to distribute your apps outside of your own company, you will want the standard enrollment, not enterprise?

You may want to call them and make sure you are enrolling in the program you really want, and/or change if necessary. There is a "contact us" link in the FAQ I posted the URL for above.

After reading some of these posts, I decided to call Developer support in case I mssed an email or something. My application was stuck in the "identity verification" stage. I did not miss anything, but the guy who answered, said "let me check on something and I should be able to move this to the next step now." In other words, I think that if I hadn't called, I may have been waiting indefinitely. I had started my application 4 days ago.
