Q: Why isn't there an option for quiet hours on the iphone?

Why is there no option to stop notifications of certain apps (eg. Mail, Facebook) at different times of the day? My phone is always on silent, but even the vibrate is enough to wake me up at night. I don't want to turn off my phone (or put into flight mode) as I need to use the alarm clock and often get people calling me late at night and in the mornings. Phone calls are okay, as people often have a good reason to be call you, but getting an email at half 3 in the morning advertising the latest amazon lightning deals isn't a good enough reason to lose sleep over.

My nexus 10 has the very simple option to set 'quiet hours'; certain times where it will not notify me that people have emailed me. It means in the morning, once I am awake, I will get notified of all my mail at once, or if I am up early I can manually push it.

I can't see other options other than every night changing the settings so that it doesn't vibrate... but this is a rather long procedure to do everyday, and something that I shouldn't really have to worry about on my £500 smart phone; even my old nokia 3210 could change to complete silent mode with the press of a few buttons (press power, down to silent, select)
