How do I connect wi-fi to mac mini 10.4.11?

What type of Mac mini are you running? If you don't know, go to >About this Mac and click System Profiler. Next to Model Identifier is the model ID. Post this back here.

Perhaps you could give us more information.. Do you have a router, a modem? Has the internet service been activated, i.e. has the computer, this one or any other, ever been connected to your internet service provider? etc. etc.

The very first step: You have to connect your Mac to the router / modem. This can be done wirelessly, if the Mac and the router can handle wireless, or with an ethernet cable. Has this been done?

Does your Mini have wireless capability? (This was an option, not built in, on the older Minis.) You can check it in System Profiler (Apple Menu / About this Mac / More Info). You should see something like this:

You need to take it a part to see if the Airport card is installed

In that case, your Mac does not have a WiFi card. You will have to shop around for a USB 802.11n WiFi card.

It does not matter what "the Apple support team" or anyone else says, what does matter is what your computer says. Your Mini, like my old one, says it does not have a working airport card. This is what mine says:

Yes, and you will need the correct airport card. Suggest yu read / watch these.
