Q: iPad mini Wi-Fi problems

I got my iPad mini the first day it came out, and it was working perfectly, but suddendly it just strated acting weird with the connection and Wi-Fi.
Like, I'm browsing through webs using Safari, and suddendly it stops loading pages, like the Wi-Fi connection went down, and it tells me after loading for more than 1O minutes, that my iPad isn't connected to the Internet. I've noticed it's the iPad only, because I connect my iPhone and iPod touch to the same Wi-Fi spot, and they both work perfectly, so I realized that something is wrong with the iPad. Anyone experienced the same? What's wrong with that?

I got my iPad mini in Feb 2014 before traveling abroad for a month. Didn't know about the wifi issue unfortunately. This cost me a lot of problems. Use this for work and at home. Have to process credit cards with it. However it does not detect wifi both at home or work unless I'm right next to the (new!) routers! Went to Apple genius and they reset my whole mini thinking that would fix it. Not. Went back and they replaced it yesterday. Still hasn't fixed it at all. Have iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs, etc at home with no issues. Only the mini has an issue. Even the replacement. Since I can't use it for work as I need to and Apple does not appear to want to fix this problem I think this product is going to be returned and I'll be using another company's tablet.

we live in a free world where people are entitled to their point of view. The person in question is clearly hugely frustrated by his experiences, which Apple would do well to consider.

perhaps if Apple has more effective or intuitive methodologies to address inherent product faults then there would be less need for people (who create Apple's vast profits) to reach tipping points of frustration.

    I Agree.

In basic diagnostic terms this is NOT a router issue.

it is an inherent defect within the product (my 5s and Air work perfectly) which needs fixing, but I guess that's not doable and a "patch" won't do the job.

Apple are not taking ownership of the problem as it would open the floodgates and impact on their bottom line.

instead you get massively disenfranchised users trying to do Apple's job for them.

    it *****.

Same here! I bought my iPad mini in September 2014, and it has been so frustrating when it takes forever to complete an application online because this damned device keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to the network, and I have to re-enter everything again and again. From the same WiFi and exactly the same spot, my iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S4 work just fine! It's absolutely NOT the router issue! I just can't believe that Apple doesn't do anything about it!!!

Is Apple working on a fix for this?

I have also had this problem for a few months.

I can confirm wireless routers are not the problem. My own home wifi router connects to some 15 other products at the last count which are all working perfectly (old and new including iPhone4/5's, Mac's, central heating too!)

Turning Airplane mode on then off again has been the temporary fix for me since my partner first noticed the issue.  Loosing faith in Apple.

I tried all the suggestions here and even got a new Apple Airport Extreme, still the same. Finally took the iPad mini into the genius bar and they ran some diagnostics, said it should be better and game me a new one. Been working great ever since.

Same here.  Its really anoying.  I can lay the mini on top of my router and it still has a slow connect.  I am trying to just get on itunes app store and it takes like 20 minutes to load.  I have an IPad 2, a MacBook and a Mac mini and they all work just fine....its the ipad mini that is the problem.
