Q: iMac network issues (wireless and ethernet)
Hi, I'm using an iMac (early 2009) with OS X 10.7.5 and I'm experiencing weird network issues. After starting up the iMac all network connections (wifi and ethernet) won't work even if they got all the settings from the DHCP server (IP-adress, subnet mask, default gateway, dns server). After turning off a network connection (wifi or ethernet) and turning it on again it works - with the same IP-adress etc. It really doesn't make sense to me.
I tried to reset SMC and repaired disk permissions.
Any ideas or similar problems?
Thanks, Martin

Thanks for the answer! I've tried everything:
- New network location
- Manual connection to WiFi
- Manual DNS settings
But it didn't help.
Anyway while trying out I found a solution: I patched the iMac directly to the firewall not going through the switch. It still doesn't make sense but it works
