i have snow leapord 10.6.3 but need 10.6.8 to update to mountain lion but the mac i have does not have internet connection is there way i can download it to transfer on to my office mac

You need to connect to the internet and download the combo udate package...without the subject computer doing the download you probably won't even be able to see it.
Download it from a computer with an Internet connection, then copy to your computer.

It's just a standalone, so you can download it from any computer.
I was remembering the old 10.4 days and before and updating...but now that you mention it, I did most often download the file itself and not use software update...gave a little more freedom with cleaning things up that would suddenly come to mind after downloading.
Using 10.7 and 10.8 for a while these old tricks have been slipping away.

I know what you mean. I'm starting to forget Snow Leopard. I've pretty much forgotten everything before Snow Leopard. CRS disease is a terrible thing. 😁

These are the Tiger, Mac OS X 10.5, specs. You need a G4 processor of at least 867 MHz to run that system.
The Apple store no longer carries the install disks, the must be found in places like Amazon, or eBay or the like.
