Q: iMac 27" Late 2012 i7 Loosing ETHERNET connection on wake
There are a lot of threads addressing this problem for Wifi, and I understand it's a known issue. However, I am experiencing this issue with an ethernet connection.
When my new Late 2012 27" iMac i7 wakes up from sleep mode, the internet connection takes a minute or more to come back (I keep refreshing chrome until it works again).
This is not a router/ISP problem as I have had a PC connected to it for years with no issues (it is currently still connected & working fine). I am running OSX 10.8.2 and it is up to date.
Has anyone figured out the cause of this issue?
iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If still a problem...
In the network pref pane for Ethernet>Advanced>Ethernet tab, instead of Configure Automatic, try Manually>10 BaseT Half Duplex for a start & work up after reboots if the slower works.
