Q: Move emails between OSX 10.4 and OSX 10.8

I'm trying to move my old emails and address book from my old computer which is running OSX 10.4 to my new one with OSX 10.8. Migration assistant doesn't work with 10.4 since it's too old, any ideas on how it can be done? Greatful for all help!

Both Safari and Mail can Import.

Safari / File / Import Bookmarks
Mail / File / Import Mailboxes

In each case the Source drive has to be accessible from the target computer, and you have to navigate to the appropriate folder on the source.
