iPhone 4

I need to backup my iPhone 4 but I don't want to upload it onto iTunes. Does anyone know if I can back it up onto my computer? Thanks.

iPhone 4, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

When you backup your phone with iTunes, the backup IS on your computer. You can't backup without using iTunes (unless you backup to iCloud, but then the backup wouldn't be on your computer).


iTunes is where all the media is stored for restoring your phone from a backup. Why wouldn't you want to use it as it is designed to be used?
