I'm trying to decide between the Airport Express and Airport Extreme--mainly interested in being able stream iTunes wirelessly and my current PC is using Windows XP--does Airport Express work with XP? Is Airport Extreme able to stream music?
The AirPort Express is the only Apple wireless router that has an audio jack, so your decision is simple in that regard.
Unfortunately, the new AirPort Express requires software that will only run on a Windows 7 or 8 machine.
One possible solution might be a discontinued, re-furbished Express sold by Apple....with new warranty. This device would work with Windows XP SP2.

If you can't buy that Express (i.e. you're not in the US) you could buy one off eBay, or upgrade to Windows 7/8.
