King.com - Candy crush Saga - Overcharging

Hi,

Candy crush saga Application over charged me in buying additional moves:

1. I have been charged for at least 4 additional purchases that I didnt buy everytime I played

2. 30% of the purchased moves froze the game and I lost a life everytime.

What do i do?

Hi Christine

I've had the same problem & have been double charged each time I've unlocked a new episode. The developer's response has been pretty poor. Told me to check for updates & cut & pasted the information about compatibility. Neither of which are applicable as I have the latest ipad & there are no updates.

Have you had a more positive response such as a refund?

Contacting candy crush support is pointless because they will tell you to contact iTunes. I've made several complaints to iTunes and the first guy reappeared himself 3x telling me to turn off in app purchases. That doesn't explain why I'm basically being charged double for every in app purchase I make through this game. The next guy was a little more helpful but still oblivious to the overcharges. It's basically my word against theirs. I don't believe it's iTunes fault that this is happening. I believe it's a candy crush glitch and I've even read this elsewhere online but no one wants to solve this problem and that's really frustrating! I have never had this problem with any other game!

My wife and I, have also been over charged on candy crush. But this isn't the only game over charging. There are some casino type games that overcharge, but apples response to my wife was the same in those cases, no help and to contact the developer. The developers know that's apples response so there is no reason for them to fix the issue. The most ridiculous part is that I heard Apple forces all apps to use their servers for all in app purchases which means they should be able to track the fact that it should be one $0.99 purchase not 9 or 10 of them, which is what King charges each time. Apple is already in the middle of two large class action law suits and I hope this overcharging issue, that they refuse any responsibility for, will be the next!!! I am a very loyal apple customer but this issue is about to run me off. Telling people to turn off in app purchases when there are legitimate apps that don't overcharge is NOT the answer and does not create consumer confidence. Fix this problem Apple now!!
