Security General

I feel I have picked up an internet bug, Safari running real slow and I am looking for more security. How best to protect my system for the internet?

What boxes need t be checked under "accounts for this compter" so I get the max internet security?

What does "reset warning" do for me?

Should I set "file vault" the firewall is on

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If Safari is running slow you should clear the cache (to clear the cache you will need to go into your Safari Preferences then click on Privacy then click remove all website data), The Mac OS is a very secure system no need to add additional software.
