i restored my ipad as advised and more options appeared in my music app ie the title tabs at the bottom ie album song, artist etc but now when i go to the songs to download from purchased they come up with an error where as before they downloaded but wouldnt appear on my ipad?
Are you getting a specific error message or code number or anything like that?
Can you download apps or app updates without any problems?
it just says download error. Tap to retry
other apps etc all download fine its just songs and videos.
Ive set up home sharing and also gone onto itunes and made sure it says sync ipad over wifi but still wont work
If you've got a lot of items downloading at the same time this may be the reason - have you checked to see if anything else is coming down at the same time?
yes nothing at all i have made sure of that and only tried downloading one song at a time
Did you try resetting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it in again. I know that the apps are downloading but its worth a try.
yes tried that and also used different wifis also
Mmm, I did have that issue myself where a few songs refused to download but there was a lot of others downloading at the same time but they did eventually download.
Are you doing a Restore from iCloud or within iTunes? If within iCloud do you have copies of the songs synched on your PC/Mac? If so try synching them on there. If when you connect your iPad to iTunes you see greyed out items in the Music folder of your iPad, try what I did here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4874274?answerId=21502744022#21502744022
so frustrating the problems you had are very similar seeing the songs greyed out on itunes but did the restore and also rest factory settings nothing is working 😟
