Video from Mac to TV

Trying to get video from my iMac onto TV. Connection was working except for audio and now only galaxy picture showing on TV all the time regardless of Mac screen. I am connecting via the DVI port and an adapter to HDMI. Although video was working until today, audio never worked. Help?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

The DVI port does not support Audio and you will need to connect the iMac's Audio Output (headphone) jack to the TVs audio input using a Mini Stereo to RCA cable.

In Extended Desktop Mode you can just drag the DVD Player, iMovie or whatever window over to the TV screen.

Optionally to see the same Desktop on both the iMac and TV, turn Mirroring On in the Display Preference.
