Bluetooth will not synch with my new Macbook Pro Retina

I have a new iPhone 5 and a new Macbook Pro Retina laptop and Bluetooth does not work. I have tried everything suggested, and some have stated that Apple is aware of this issue, but no fix is in sight. Any suggestions?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
