iMac & Thunderbolt RAID

Can I connect two thunderbolt cables between my iMac and my Promise RAID, both of which have two Thunderbolt ports? Would I double my bandwidth?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 6.1.2

No, you can't. No, it won't double your bandwidth. The dual ports on the TB RAID are for daisy-chaining.

I gave a little thought as to what 'trying it out' might have done - and I don't think that it would have been pretty!
