You haven't told us much, but typically you would restore an iPad backup from either iTunes or iCloud depending on how you back up your iPad.
I noticed that when I put my appt. for march in the calendar, it over-wrote the items for Jan and Feb that were scheduled at the same time. I really need the jan and feb info restored since this is only place I stored it.
I don't even know how to restore it from iCloud , if that's what I need to do. What are the steps. I am freaking out! Your help is appreciated.

What does that mean? Does it mean that when you put in an appointment for, say, March 12 at 2PM it overwrote any January 12 at 2PM and Februrary 12 at 2PM appointments?
Or does it mean when you put in an appointment for March 12 at 2PM it overwrote a previously existing appoinement you had for March 12 at 2PM?
Here's an article about iCloud backups. Did you create any?
Hi, the first option is what has happened.
I hope there is a way to restore my jan and feb data otherwise ... Pls help!!!
I already read the article and I don't see where it shows how to restore data on the same device. Am I missing something ? Apple customer service won't even give me simple instruction since my 90 days have expired.
You might check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Sync (way down the list).
If it is set to something like "Events 1 month back" or "Events 2 months back", that might explain the issue.
Anyway, it's not clear what your calendar is synched to. But you asked about iCloud backup ... did you do an iCloud backup? Or might you be using an iCloud calendar? If the latter, then you can probably recover your appointments by simply choosing Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Sync > All Events
If you were going to restore an iCloud backup, you would have to set your iPad up as a new device. That would be done by Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Then your iCloud backup would replace basically all the information you had on your device.
Hi Sberman, thank you for doing your best to help me figure this mess out.
My calendar is set to : sync to events one month back. Is that the problem? If so, how do I fix that?
I have only one calendar that I use, which is the iPad calendar.
That is the problem.
To solve this (for future events) change Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Sync to "All Events"
I think it would be easiest to just manually re-enter the events from Jan-Feb that were deleted.
Yes, as JimHdk indicates, the sync one month back is your issue.
Once you fix Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Sync, you can either manually reenter the events that were lost or hunt for them in an iCloud or possibly iTunes backup, which, if successful (if they even exist), would restore everything on your iPad to the time of the backup. It does sound like manually reentering the events is the most likely path to success.
