Q: Don't know whether my older BS airport Xpress to intended to extend my network 802.11 is 'n' or 'g'.For sure:my Airport U'ty 6.2 configured my AirPort Xtreme, BUT  won't WDS nor AirPort Xpress!

Hi all,

Besides above ans in addition to:

How do we configure a rather recent AirPort Xtreme with an AirPort Xpress BS of oder version to become an extended network.

1°  Is it in 802.11 n or g ( only g does WDS)?

2° Which Utilty for Xpress?  6.2 won't whereas 5.6.1 does it  but does NOT install ( on OSX10.7)  anymore once 6.2 is! Messy!

Newer versions both on firmware for BS's  as well as utilities ( 6.2) do not use WDS anymore. So how do we use (older) BS Xpress as mine? Get them

refurbished by Apple?

Thank you;

Pierre.
