My ipad is tying on its own, jumping all over the place and the camera doesn't work. HELP!

Just yesterday my iPad started jumping all over the place, from app to app and starts typing randomly on its own. The camera is not working either. I have reset, let the battery die completely then recharged fully. Found my receipt last night and it was bought and shipped on March 12, 2012 so I am sure it is no longer under warranty. Any suggestions on what I can do? There are no Apple stores within 100 of my house. I just updated the IOS last night in hopes that it would solve the problem but to no avail!

Try this

Make sure IOS is updated to latest version

Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.

If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new first (to isolate cause of the issue). Then from backup if necessary.

Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.

If that doesn't clear the problem, there is not much you can do besides a visit to an Apple store genius bar for diagnosis...could be a bad screen. Even if the nearest is 100 mi away.

You could try starting a service order at the ExpressLane: https://expresslane.apple.com and see if you can get service that way.
