Projecting an iPhoto slide show

I have created a slideshow in iPhoto with 400 photos that I want to project (using a projector) onto a screen. What is the best way to do this? The projector takes a DVD but I think the slideshow will be too large and we want it to repeat. I do have an iPad 2 if that's a better way to go. At this point the iPhoto album is on my desktop computer still in iPhoto.

Do you have iDVD on your Mac? What system and iPhoto versions are your running? What is the projector's resolution or projection size, i.e. pixel dimemsion it's capable of?

The easiest way would be to create a QT movie of the slideshow by exporting it out of iPhoto as a QT movie file and adding that to and iDVD project. The iDVD project can be set to being playing immediately when inserted into a DVD player and can be made to repeat.

Need the info above before can offer more specific info.a

Is the projector able to play video DVDs?
