I have realised that I have two AppleID accounts - one set up many years ago with an old email address. The other my current ID I use all the time. How do I go about merging the two into the account I use now?

Sorry, but that also cannot be done, unless there's a hack I haven't heard of. iCloud goes solely by the Apple ID.
