How do I nest a table inside a cell?

I'm using Numbers 09 (v. 2.3) to organize long pieces of text into a table. Some parts of my text have tables. Is it possible to nest a table inside of a cell?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

No.

You can make an image of the table (using a screen shot, for exmple), and place that as an image fill in the cell. Text in the image will not be searchable or editable, though.

Hi Neko,

Numbers can't nest tables, but you have an app that came with Lion that can - TextEdit.

Since you are working with text and not formulas, why not use TextEdit? I find TextEdit rather quirky, maybe even murky, but I'll bet that if I spent as much time with TextEdit as I do with Numbers I'd be perfectly comfortable with it. If you decide to give it a try, have some patience with it.
