If it was truly overheating the system would shut down, IE Turn Off.

Is your system auto turning off? If not then it is not really overheating. It may get HOT but that is fairly normal for Mac notebooks when you actually use them for what they were designed for.

Get iStatPro and check the temps of the system and post back what they are.

Download from the Internet iStat pro and post an image. Also post an image of Activity Monitor set to show 'All Processes' and set '%CPU' to show values from high to low. Only with this information, can a valid judgement be made if your MBP is overheating.
