Just recently purchased the iphone5 and chose to set it up as a new phone without remembering that I wanted all of the notes that were on my 3GS. Is there a way to transfer just the notes and not everything else? icloud only transfered over my contacts.
Can you use iCloud to transfer your Notes as well? Were they in iCloud on your iPhone 3GS? Does your new iPhone have iCloud notes on?
Notes was not turned on for the old one but when I turned it on nothing happened. I am now backing up the old phone's icloud- will this work?
I think you mean you are backing up your old iPhone to iCloud.
It sounds like that is not what you want to use. You said you want your new iPhone to be like new. If you restore the iCloud backup, you cannot pick and choose, you will get it all (or nothing).
Is there any way I can get my old notes onto my new phone then?
Not that I know about. Maybe you had your notes hooked up with some email account on your old iPhone ... I don't know.
If they're not on any computer, you can always take screen shots of them and re-enter them in iCloud on your new iPhone.
