Boot Camp 4.0.4131 Compatibility with MacBook (Mid 2010)

Hello,

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed with Boot Camp 4.0 on my MacBook (mid 2010). I've downloaded the latest Boot Camp installer that Apple says it's compatible with my Mac (Boot Camp 4.0.4131) from this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1634

After copying the zipped file and extracting it on Windows, I ran the Setup, I got a message saying: "This version of Boot Camp is not intended for this computer model"

I've checked all other Boot Camp updates, non of them is compatible with my Mac. Is there a solution?

Thank you..

MacBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), (Mid 2010), 8GB RAM

As you are running OS X 10.8.3, you should get the Boot Camp drivers from Boot Camp Assistant instead of downloading them from the Apple webpage. I recommend you to open Boot Camp Assistant, tick the option to download the Windows support software and follow the steps to install them in Windows.

Anyway, your problem is very strange because these drivers should be perfectly compatible with your computer. I can see that you have 8 GB of memory on your Mac, and Apple officially supports 4 GB of memory. Have you tried to remove 4 GB of memory to leave your MacBook with 4 GB of memory?

I've tried removing one 4GB module, it didn't work. I thought its because Apple officiallyt supports 2GB module on each slot. I removed both modules and replaced them with the old 1GB and 2GB ones, it didn't work either.

I'll try this today.
