iphone screen blacked out and phoneis vibrating for hours

My iphone 4 screen went blank and ring for hours continuously(vibration only) .I hit the home button it stays black.i even tried to do the reset and i removed the case, ppl are tried to call me but no answer just ringing from their side, any help here?
