Wifi Problem

Hello,

It's my first message here. So, accept my apologises if I post this question on the wrong place or if this question has been answered yet (I looked around on the internet but did not find anything).

Well, I had no problem with my wifi. The security of my network is WPA. One day, my laptop which runs Mac OS X V10.6.8 (updated) stopped to connect automatically to my network. And now, when I click on my network, the laptop tries to connect with 802.1X protocol.

Two events can explain this behavior :

* First one, I was low-battery and my computer shut down without any warning. Maybe this damage the wifi card but I don't know how to test that.

* Second one, I installed a wifi repeater that use 802.11n protocol. Previously, my network was 802.11g. I declared the wifi card of my laptop on my repeater (because I don't allow unknown cards to connect to my network). But, perhaps, my laptop has memorized the 802.11g network. I don't know but I think that the signal is weak when I am near the repeater.

If you can help me, I would appreciate.

Sorry for my poor english. It is not my mother tongue as you can figure it out.

Thanks.
