Transferring Bulk photos from iPhone to Mac

On a recent vacation, I forgot to take my camera. I used my iPhone liberally to take pictures. Now I would like to transfer these files to my Mac. Is there a process to tranfer bulk files. I can obviously e-mail each one. I could also put each one on dropbox and then transfer them down to the Mac (two time consuming steps). I assume there is some easy way. Can someone direct me to forum where that has been discussed?

Thanks,

Dave

I haven't done that because I was concerned about the iPhone trying to sync with the Mac and erasing everything on the iPhone and replacing it with the photos and albums in iPhoto.

Your reply seems to indicate that when I connect the cable, the iPhone will just come up looking like a hard drive (or flash drive) and let me copy and transfer the photos to the Mac. If so, thanks for the solution.

No, the iPhone will not appear on the desktop as a flash drive. You would need to launch iPhoto (though, depending on how you have things set up it may launch automatically). iPhoto will recognize the iPhone.

Syncing is handled through iTunes. iTunes will sync whatever you have previously selected.

See this KB article for further details on transferring:
