iPhone 5 - Fix for weak signal/call dropping?

Does anyone know if Apple is planning to EVER make a fix for the weak signal problem for iPhone 5's? I've had the phone since December, I'm on my third phone (exchanged it twice), it's still got extremely weak cellular and wifi signal. Rogers/Apple now refuses to exchange my phone, and no I'm not going to send it to their tech support and be phone-less for like a month. It has to be a problem with the iPhone 5 as I'm on my third phone, I can't have luck that bad?

Symptoms:

- Very weak cellular signal, only 1 bar most of the time, compared to my 4S which is almost always full strength

- Very slow detection of wifi, often does not detect at all (like Starbucks etc), my 4S detects it almost instantly

- Random calls (20%+) gets dropped due to weak signal

I'm on latest firmware, did X amount of soft/hard resets, resetted network, did pretty much everything the tech people asked.

Bump.

This problem is happening for lots of major carriers, not only Rogers. I've googled it and people from Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and Rogers are all having this problem...

Not only is it happening on my phone, it's happening on my friend's phone as well. Another 16GB iPhone 5, just ordered from Rogers.

What in the world is going on here?

Absolutely untrue. I know literally dozens of people with the iPhone 5 running on AT&T and Verizon and NONE have any signal issues - certainly not ALL as you claim

You can Google any problem you can imagine and find "lots" of people who claim the same. There is no real issue with the design of the phone or update. You have a problem with your phone. Take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your country. You might try using a new SIM card first.

When did I say everyone who uses those carriers has this problem? I said the problem exists not only for Rogers but for all the listed carriers as well.

Like I said, I don't really need more of these "my phone is working 100% fine" posts, they are not in any way helpful. You think I didn't talk to Apple or Rogers yet? Where did my third phone come from, Walmart? Since it's already the third phone they refuse to give me a fourth phone.

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions, or possible theories on what's causing the weak signals and call dropping? Maybe it has to do with LTE? But I've checked the Rogers network, my area is fully covered with LTE... even if it wasn't, how is it possible it's getting weak signals for 3 months? Also I'm sure if it was LTE failures in my area then Rogers would say something about it and everyone in my area would be having this problem?

LanLing1...I have the same problem. I'm about ready to go back to a flip phone. I turned off the LTE and that helped but not all the time. I just got my phone in February and I'm ready to give it back. I have an iPhone 4 (on the AT&T network) from work that works fine through all the areas where the iPhone 5 (Verizon Network) does not and the signal for AT&T is the weakest of the three major carriers here (Sprint, Verizon & AT&T). I hope that Apple or someone finds a fix for it or they can have it back!
