Ive done everything and my ipod is not recognized, I am very frustrated with this!!!!!
the usb may need a driver update, how do I do this????

Including
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
New cable and different USB port?
Runs this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Try on another computer to help determine if compute or iPod problem
