iPhone in washing machine for 10 mins, what to do?

Hi

I left my iPhone in washing machine for 10 mins, what should I do? I haven't tried to turn it on.

Was the iPhone turned on while it was washed for 10 minutes? If so, the iPhone is likely a goner.

Do not turn it on. Place the iPhone in a zip lock bag of rice or if you have access to desicants, place the iPhone in a zip lock bag of desicants for a week or two before trying to turn it back on.

Thanks, appreciate you help!

Of course I haven't checked to see if it's on and will try the rice treatment.

So to try to turn it off I take it that would actually be a bad thing in its current state? Like maybe it has to power up to turn off, right?

Sounds like it is now off. Powering the iPhone on while the internal components are wet is not a good idea, and the same while being submerged in water.
