Several places. You can get cheap ones on eBay or Amazon, better ones from a vendor such as OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/, and original equipment from Apple.
My 2007 MacBook battery lasted for about four years, when it failed I bought a cheap one, $55, from Amazon, it didn't fit right. They cheerfully replaced it with another that didn't fit right, they refunded my money. I then went to OWC and bought a better one, everything was great but it lasted only 18 months. Mostly our fault because I don't think we cycled the battery enough as it stayed on the charger most of the time. I then bought an Apple battery and it lasted until the logic board failed on my MacBook earlier this year. Moral of the story is that I don't trust the cheap ones, thought the better one was a good value and trusted the expensive original equipment from Apple the most. Several people on here will tell you that they prefer the cheap ones, it's your choice.
You can get a new third party battery fairly cheap on eBay. Every MacBook from 2006 through Mid 2009 except the Late 2008 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 and 2010 White Unibodies use the same A1185 battery.
Or for $129 from The Apple Store http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA566LL/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
And here's the middle of the price road from OWC $89.00 http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple_laptop/batteries/MacBook_13_White
FYI to others that may be looking for a good replacement. The fit and finish is very good along with the performance. I have been using it for over 6 months and would recommened. http://www.safebatteries.com/macbook-a1185-battery-white.html
