iphone 5 wifi

I have serious issues with my iphone5 wifi, the signal is poor and gets disconnected other times doesnt even find a network whereas other smartphones get connected with full strength signals. I have tried resetting my network options on my phone my wifi,resetting the phone, online support from an apple representative (USA), nothing fixed the problem.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.2

Try the following. After each step try your signal again and see if it makes a difference before proceeding to the next step:

  1. Try removing any accessories (cases) from the device and test it again
  2. Turn on Airplane mode and then turn it off
  3. Do a hard reset on the device (hold home + lock button for 10 seconds until it restarts)
  4. Update to the latest firmware
  5. Restore your iPhone but don't import your backup


If those don't work, visit the Apple Store.

We had similar problems with an iPhone 5 our broadband provider sorted this out after we had been trying for a month.

go to wifi under settings click on your wifi click on forget settings towards top of page you must wait for at least 30 seconds ( very important) then click on the wifi and put in your password.
