Which NAS is it? If you go to Go>Connect to Server and type in smb://<IP of NAS>/ can you connect?
What version of OSX are you running?
uhm, just updated few days ago, Have no idea which version but it is on latest.
btw it is a sitecom nas. I just switced back to my windows based pc. to double check if the nas is ok, no problems. transfering files as we speak. Only difference in setup is that the mac are using WIFI. But my windows laptop is having no issues when aproaching the nas on wifi connection.
tried this, cant connect. Says server is unavailable etc...

This thread may help.
You should verify that your sitecom nas is recent enough to support SMB2 connectivity, or verify that there is a yet to be applied firmware update that may make it compatible with OS X. As of Mountain Lion, only SMB2 connections are supported.

Can you check/confirm your Mac and the NAS are one the SAME subnet? i.e. Tell us the IP address of your Mac and of your NAS. (They should only differ in the last digits.)
I just did a f/w update to the NAS and now its working with the mac's as well. Nice!! Didnt expect this because i never had a device that coudnt connect. But hey its working.
Thnx all for the input!
