Hey!

I'm trying to export a project with a lenght of onlt 2:30min but after loads of time and beachball cursors I end up with Quicktime Error -50

Using the latest Final Cut Pro X I'm trying to export to 1080p 60fps with Apple iDevices share option.

I got 8gigs of ram on my 2,3 GHz MacBook Pro i5.... When starting to export I have 60 gigs free hard drive space, when it fails it's gone down to 29 gigs of free space....

any ideas what I should look into?

Thanks

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Maybe corrupt media – one of your clips or a render.

Try deleting render files. Start another project and paste contents of original into it.

    Good luck.

Sounds like a drive problem. Maybe a bad sector. Try exporting to a different drive.

Did you try the other recommendation?

If you want the log analyzed, you could download ProMaintenace Tools from DIgital Rebellion's site. It's a suite of apps with a crash analyzer. They have a trial version so you can evaluate the product.

That's possible, but it's better to do it from FCP menu.

Certainly, there are other reports of third party software conflicts.

I went with corrupt media because my editcode look-up gave corrupt or invalid media as the likely cause.

Working with the plug-in effects, etc., have you ever had projects that went smoothly? Or do they typically have problems? Is this a new way of working on FCP or are you coming to FCP from some other NLE?

    Russ
