Q: 10.8.3 iTunes Problems

No deal. What happens when you try to launch iTunes?

Since i  updated to mountain lion, my itunes library and playlists only play the one song I start with, it doesn't play any others! Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem, iTunes crashes so I can't get to it to do a reinstall of 10.8.3. I downloaded the 10.8.3 combo from the support website to do a reinstall but when I run it, it crashes! So now I am stuck in limbo unable to reinstall 10.8.3, is there any way out fo this?

I suggest you back up. Then verfiy disk. Then reinstall your original ML on top of this installation. See if iTunes works at that point. If it does, then run combo update and see if it works under 10.8.3. No guarantees, but reinstalling ML over itself can be done and often fixes many ills.

You can downloading iTunes and reinstalling. I second TSam's advice to backup.

I have the same problem but with my Appstore and Email app. I still don't know how to fix it

Try doing some basic troubleshooting to attempt to isolate the problem.

Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try a restart.

Run Disk Utility/Repair Permissions. Run until it reports no errors. If there is a recurring error, see the article on what permission errors can be ignored.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode.  Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

I was able to reinstall Mtn Lion by restarting the computer and after the chimes holding down Command + R keys until the boot manager screen comes up. Make sure you are logged onto your WIFI by clicking the icon in the upper right side of the screen and select your network and logon. Then select reinstall OSX option and let it do its thing. Took about 1.5 hrs to download and reinstall the system but now I can get onto iTines and the other programs now seem to work OK. Good luck
