This is so frustrating, Podcasts start to download on my phone then tell me theres an error, I can't sync my itunes music with phone either. I've searched on here and appled many techniques. I am subscribed to podcasts. I've checked manually manage music, there's only 2 songs i've imported by CD that I want!!

What is the error message provided when transferring Podcasts from your iTunes library on your computer to the iPhone and the same when trying to transfer music? The same when selecting Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
The podcasts are downloaded on my itunes ok, if I try to download them on my iphone they alomst download then at the end says 'Cannot be downloaded at this time' if I go into my music on my phone and choose 'not on this iphone' the music comes up I choose what I want to download and the same thing as the podcast happens so I connected to itunes via my macbook air and it won't sync!
In the summary it gives me the blue audio at the bottom but disappears as soon as it has finished it's sync. I had no bother with my 4s but the 5 is a ball ache.

The first part is not syncing with iTunes. This is for downloading music on your iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes store - that is not on your iPhone. This does not apply to Music imported into your iTunes library on your computer from a music CD unless you have iTunes Match enabled with your iTunes account.
What error message is provided if any when trying to transfer music from your iTunes library on your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process? Manually managing music and videos requires dragging the music from your iTunes library to your iPhone located under Devices in the iTunes source list. Syncing requires selecting Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and making your selections below followed by a sync. What happens when doing this?
Ok, in my itunes when I connect my iphone to try and sync the CD I just imported it won't do it, it does the sync the blue audio appears in the summary ( I have no other audio on my phone as yet) then once the sync has finished the blue audio bit disappears and I still don't have the tunes I tried to sync. It doesn't say anything.

This blue audio appears where in what summary? I have no idea what you are talking about with this.
Under the music tab I have checked selected playlists artists etc, the blue audio appears in the summary along with the green for apps and orange for other.
Which iTunes encoder setting did you use for the music import from the CD?
Have you tried deselecting Sync Music followed by a sync and then reselecting Sync Music followed by another sync?
Is the music from this CD the only music in your iTunes library on your computer? If not, does any other selected music transfer when syncing?
Yes I have tried delsecting followed by a sync then reselecting, still doesn't work. My Apps all synced no problem. The CD isn't the only music no other music will sync either. The CD has synced with my ipad though.
I would try restoring the iPhone with iTunes - first from the iPhone's backup. If no change after that, try restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
Or direct on the iPhone try erasing all content and settings at Settings > General > Reset followed by syncing again.
That hasn't worked either, lovely.
If no change after erasing all content and settings direct on the iPhone and/or after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup, call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
