Terminal Keepalive

I know with Putty you can tell it send a keepalive packet at a specified time interval to prevent the session from timing out.

How can this be done with the Terminal program when using ssh to connect to another machine?

iMac Intel Core Duo 20", Mac OS X (10.4.6), 2GB RAM

Hi jcataldo

I am assuming your familiar with terminal commands and using pico to edit files.

you can create a ssh user config file in your home directory

if you have not got a .ssh directory already you can create one

mkdir ~/.ssh

you can then make a config file

pico ~/.ssh/config

enter the lines

Host *
ServerAliveInterval 240
