My wife is getting the old Macbook Air, and I am to install iWork on the new one. But I can not INSTALL - I just get the UPDATE option for all the three products in iWork. Really frustrating..
When I click on UPDATE I get the message:
"You have updates for other accounts. To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."
Makes no sense to me and doesnt help at all...
Anyone? Please

You need to purchase Keynote for the new Macbook Air. The update option only recognizes the older Macbook Air.
I am prepared for that. I´d like to purchase, but I do not get that option! Only UPDATE...
Try deleting what you have in regard to the program in question and reboot the computer and hit the Itunes store and purchase the app. Then check for updates, more thatn likely it will come with the updates. I just purchased a Macbook Pro Retina and had to purchase the Keynote and Pages. When I checked for updates there were none.
Well, deleting Keynote, Pages and Numbers from the other computer would probably solve the problem... But that is really not a solution, I want to have the programs on both computers. That should not be too much to ask for, should it? Don´t Apple want my money? How hard can it be to handle this situation?

NO!! you don't have to delete it from the other computer, leave that alone, you have already paid for that and it is fine. You need to download the new programs form Itunes as a new install. Totally forget about he past and start new with your new laptop!
That was my intention, rodgerb4. But Appstore recognize me and presume I am going to UPGRADE - and they are *not* giving me any option to INSTALL.
Log into App Store > Store > Purchases, find Keynote and click install.
OK, let me spell this out once more: I DO NOT GET INSTALL AS AN OPTION. I ONLY GET UPDATE. WHEN I PUSH UPDATE I GET THE MESSAGE

It seem to me that this is a bug in App Store. It does not understand that I am the same Apple ID on a new computer... I guess I have to create a new Apple ID to work around this - if nobody have a better idea?
