How do I continue to use drawing programs that will not work with Mountain lion?

Upgrading from 10.6.8 on iMac. Have Freehand MS 11.0.2 and do not want to spend a fortune buying a drawing program that will run on Mountain Lion. Is there a way to keep using it or is there a cheap drawing program that will let me draw anything I want?

I cannot afford to spend $600 for Illustrator… Freehand lets me draw anything I can think of drawing.
