ios 6.1.2 breaks universal dock

I recently updated my device (iPhone 4S 16gb) to IOS 6.1.2 and now my Apple universal dock and Bose Sounddock Series II (both use 30 pin conenctor) no longer support my device. Before the update I could play music and podcasts and Radio by using eitehr remote to pause, play increase volume and skip tracks etc . My old iPod nano which is on the old IOS will still play Music and podcasts.

Way has Apple decided to remove these features from IOS 6.1.2 update. reading the information regarding the new update it was suppose to fix MS Exchange mailbox activity, it never metionedoed breaking my £50 Apple univesal dock or my £300 Bose speaker system!!!

Apple please resolve this ASAP, my setup has worked perfectly through my HIfi system using IOS 4 - IOS 5 since the iPhone $S was released, I dont want to jailbreak my device but am not willing to change my device to iPhone 5 and change all my connetion in the house to lightning!!

ps. Is it possible to downgrade to IOS 6.1.1 from 6.1.2 ? while Apple decide should they fix this or not?
