Q: How do I get my 3rd party mouse to hook up to OSX Lion?

I have a windows mouse that is "Wireless". I say "Wireless" because it does require the USD "Nub" as I like to call it to be plugged in. As of now, my magic mouse is what i am using. I go through the system preferences and nowhere does it let me choose what mouse i want to use! i plug in and turn on the windows mouse, click frantically, but nothing happens. I also tried that while my magic mouse was off. Nothing. Please tell me how i can change what mouse i am using!
