iTunes Match running continuously upon waking from sleep

When my MBP wakes from sleep and iTunes was open before being put to sleep, I notice iTunes Match (the cloud icon animating) is running, and doesn't stop. If iTunes was minimized and I don't remember to restart iTunes, my MBP will start running pretty hot because iTunes is using CPU at a constant 10% or so, doing something with iTunes Match.

Anybody else seeing this?
