Is the small LED lighting when you attach the MagSafe connector and plug the charger into an outlet?

If not, can you borrow another charger to use?  If that is not possible a trip to an Apple store genius bar to have the techs test the charger and MacBook Pro is in order.

You might not need a new charger.

It's common for the fuse to blow, and that's in the detachable plug - the bit with the prongs, that goes into the power socket. So, you might just need to buy a new plug (about £15) or replace the fuse (a couple of quid and a few minutes fiddling).  You can find tutorials on YouTube.
