Q: Frequent Crashes Caused by Internet Connection
I'm experiencing frequent crashes on my iBook. Seems to be related to connecting to the internet. I am also being defaulted to the lowest resolution on YouTube. I'm not crashing when not connected to the internet.
At home, on wi-fi, I get crashing and the low YouTube resolution.
When plugged in directly with ethernet, no crashing but still have the low YouTube resolution.
Went to the local pub to use their wi-fi, no crashing but still have the low YouTube resolution.
As far as I know nothing new was intentionally changed with my computer or the internet service. My room-mates are having no problems.
I ran the hardware check, which stated all was OK.
I re-installed the OS from the install CD's and still have the problem.
After restart, there are recovered files in the trash called "plugin-crossdomain.xml" in a folder called "plugtmp". Also see the crash report below.
I'm using an iBook G-4 with OS X 10.4.11. I believe the crash report below gives all the necessary hardware details.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also wondering if there is a tool on the computer that tells you how fast your internet connection is running. I'm on DSL I believe. I normally get high def on YouTube.
Thank you in advance for help.
