10.8.3 - Will it update iTunes if I only install the OSX update?

Hi,

I hate iTunes 11. Really, really hate it. Particularly the loss of iTunes DJ.

If I let my iMac run the OSX update only and ignore the continual prompt to update iTunes above it in the list of available updates, will 10.8.3 update iTunes or will it leave it as is?

Anyone who can help with an answer I'd really appreciate it.

If iTunes and others are separately listed as updates only those updates you select will be downloaded.

It would be different were you to blindly download a Combo update. That could well include iTunes ... but even then there are details published which tell you what the update includes. Check it out by going to Apple > Support > updates and scroll down through the updates until you reach the one you are considering.
