Overnight my iPad 2 (iOS 6.1.2) reverted from the switched silent/non-silent function, back to the rotation lock/ non-lock function! Has there been some kind of auto iOS mod/chnage that happened overnight without permission? Did my iPad get hit with a cosmic ray? Has some date/time expiration occurred? Has this happened to anyone else - ever?

1. Settings>General>Set Side Swith To: Rotation Lock
2. Use Side Switch to lock/unlock rotation
3. Use Task Bar to control muting (double-click Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right; the muting icon is on the far left)
Diavonex, You need to read the post rather than just the title (it is a bit misleading). I know how to change it. How did it happen without my doing anything?
There are certain problem that are hard to explain.
Have you tried a reset?
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.
