Getting an odd bounce message

Yesterday I began to get the identical bounce message no matter who I sent an email to. I even tried it on a two other personal accounts that I control and got the same message. Is anyone else seeing it? Is it real or random? The emails are being received despite the bounce message. My isp is Road Runner and they were sent from my me.com address.

I have been getting the same message for 2 days when sending from my me.com account from my desktop. No bounces when sent from other accounts ie att.net, business domain etc. so know it is not an IP address issue as suggested on other forums. Not haappenin when sending from my iphone or ipad which uses an icloud.com address.

Not happening when sent from icloud.com account with same email either online or from Mail.app on desktop.

I am receiving mail via the me.com account still.

Has the Apple server at least me.com

gotten a “bad reputation?!” Hopefully this will get fixed soon. If anyone has an idea or fix, please respond.

Perhaps Apple has decided to exit the Free email game . . .this type of aggrivation would be a way to get people off their server

It had gone away for a few days and now is back. I'm getting intermittent bounces from reply to emails as well as new emails, especially if I cc another person in the reply.

A hour or so ago I got a bounce after replying. I generated a new reply to the same email with no cc and they got it without the bounce message. They had not gotten the original reply. I then resent the first reply with no cc and they acknowledged receipt.

I honestly have no idea what's going on, I'm using Mail from my desktop, not webmail. And sends from my iPhone and iPad are doing just fine even when sending via my wireless connection at my office.

My ISP is socal roadrunner.

Hmmm. My ISP is Cox, but I don't think the issues is with the ISP.

In my e-mail preferences, I changed my outgoing server from smpt.me.com to smpt.mac.com and checked the box to only use that server. I was able to get the e-mail message through that way. I read on a different discusion thread that it has been happening with .me since last week. Sounds like apple is sabotaging .me.

I started getting the same rejection notice today, both when I use my me.com email address, and when I use my icloud.com email address. My online research indicates that it is a problem with Apple's server having a "reputation problem" or being outright blacklisted.

I sent feedback on the Apple web page. Does anyone know a better way to bring the problem to Apple's attention?

Given the dates on this thread from March, seems like we can expect 3-4 days before the problem is resolved...

[as replied elsewhere on this forum https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4956053?answerId=21738543022#21738543022]

I am seeing the same problem with my mac.com e-mail address - given that it is occurring with all three domains, it is probably an IP range blacklist and not directly related to SPF or other domain data.

Update: http://www.rackaid.com/resources/cannot-send-email-blacklisted/ has a good description of the problem - and it seems like the Cisco IronPort SenderBase Security Network (http://www.senderbase.org/senderbase_queries/rep_lookup?search_name=17.172.81.1& action%3ASearch=Search) is indeed responsible for our problems - although there is little that we can do about it except wait for Apple to clean up the problem with the iCloud SMTP delivery systems.
