Added a gmail account to my email and now it is locked up.

I have a Hotmail and a mac email account that has worked fine. I just got a new gmail account and wanted to add it to my email.

After adding it, my computer just locked up at the 'account' screen in preferences. How do I remove this email account or just unlock my email?

I have check in my console and it says 'killing auth hosts and then session 10011 destroyed'.

What the heck did I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Log out and log back in. If you can't log out, hold down the power button to force a restart.

Can you get back to Mail / Preferences / Accounts and delete the gmail account? Or are you locked out of Preferences?

If you cannot do that, try this. Quit Mail.

There is a preferences file in your Library (User / you / Library) called

com.apple.mail.plist

(Note there are two Library folders. The file you want is in the user's library.)

Trash it and restart Mail.

Added a gmail account to my email and now it is locked up.
